Usage and limits

Settings → Usage (admin and owner only) shows how much of the current billing period your account has used against your plan, dimension by dimension.

What's metered

DimensionWhat it counts
SeatsTeam members with access to the account
NumbersConnected WhatsApp numbers
MessagesMessages sent in the period
CampaignsCampaign (broadcast) sends in the period
Automation triggersCombined automation + flow triggers in the period
API callsCalls made with an API key in the period
Webhook endpointsConfigured webhook destinations
AIAI credits used — one per drafted reply, auto-reply, or Playground turn

Each row shows a progress bar with the used figure against the plan's limit. A bar turns amber as you approach the cap and red once you're at it. A dimension with no cap on your plan shows "unlimited" next to the used figure instead of a bar.

If you're on a plan with more than one connected number, a by number breakdown appears underneath, splitting messages and campaigns per line.

What happens at the cap

Hitting a limit doesn't take anything away — nothing already sent, connected, or built is removed. It blocks the next action of that kind until either the period resets or you change your plan:

  • At the seat limit, you can't invite another member (existing members are unaffected).
  • At the numbers limit, you can't connect another WhatsApp number.
  • At the campaign limit, you can't send another campaign this period.
  • At the automation trigger limit, automations and flows stop triggering on new events until the period resets.
  • At the API call limit, the public API starts returning a 402 upgrade_required error.
  • At the webhook endpoint limit, you can't add another endpoint.

Wherever a limit blocks you, Relay shows an upgrade prompt pointing at Billing — admins and owners can act on it directly; other roles are told to ask an account admin.

Who can see this

Usage is billing-class information, so it's visible to admins and owners only — the same gate as Wallet and Billing.
