Dashboard tour

A quick orientation to the chrome around every page in Relay — the parts that stay the same whether you're in the Inbox, Contacts, or anywhere else.

  1. Navigation rail. The left-hand rail lists every module you have access to: Dashboard, Inbox, Notifications, Contacts, Pipelines, Campaigns, Automations, Flows, and AI Agents, plus Settings pinned at the bottom. The Inbox entry carries a small dot when you have unread conversations (it hides while you're already viewing the Inbox), and the button at the rail's bottom-right edge collapses it to icons-only or expands it back — your choice is remembered for next time.

  2. Search. The button at the top of the rail opens the command palette (keyboard shortcut ⌘K) for jumping to a record or page without leaving the keyboard.

  3. Notifications. Rather than a separate bell dropdown, Notifications is its own item in the navigation rail, and shows an unread count badge — reading a notification is what clears the count, not just visiting the page.

  4. Account menu. Your avatar at the bottom of the rail opens a menu with your name and email, your role in this account (Owner, Admin, Agent, or Viewer), and links to Profile, Settings, and Sign out. This build has no separate account or workspace switcher — you sign in already scoped to one account, and moving between accounts means signing out and back in as a member of the other one.

  5. Dashboard widgets. The dashboard itself (the page you land on after signing in) shows live analytics: active conversations, messages sent today, new contacts today, open deal value, a conversations-over-time chart, a pipeline-value breakdown, average first response time, and a recent activity feed — plus the Quick actions row covered on the previous page.

Appearance

Relay ships with a light and a dark mode; there's no "system" option — you pick one explicitly at Settings → Appearance, and it's remembered on that device.

On a phone

Below the desktop breakpoint (390px and similar), the permanent rail is replaced by a header bar with the Relay logo, the mode toggle, and a menu button. Tapping the menu button opens the same navigation — including search, all the module links, and settings — as a slide-in sheet rather than a fixed column; there's no separate mobile icon for notifications or the account menu, since both live inside that same navigation list.
