Danger zone

Settings → Danger zone holds the one irreversible action in Relay: deleting the account. It's visible only to the account owner — not admins, not anyone else.

What deleting an account does

Clicking Delete account… opens a confirmation dialog. To actually schedule deletion, you must type either the account's exact name or the literal word DELETE into a confirmation field — a plain "are you sure?" click isn't enough for something this final. You can also leave an optional reason.

Confirming schedules deletion; it does not erase anything on the spot. Immediately at that point, two things happen right away as a safety measure, even though the data itself is untouched:

  • Any active subscription is cancelled.
  • The WhatsApp connection is disconnected (credentials removed — the same as a manual disconnect from WhatsApp numbers; a coexistence number stays live on the phone).

The grace period

Once scheduled, you have 7 days to change your mind. During that window the page shows a "Scheduled for deletion" state with the exact purge date and an Undo deletion button. Undoing is a full cancellation of the pending request — nothing is lost, and the account carries on normally.

After the grace period

Once the window closes without an undo, deletion becomes permanent and cannot be recovered. At that point:

Deleted:

  • Contacts, conversations and messages
  • Pipelines and deals
  • Campaigns, automations and flows
  • Templates, tags and custom fields
  • Uploaded chat and flow media
  • Every other piece of account-scoped data, cascading through the database

Kept:

  • Invoices and other financial records — these are retained rather than hard-deleted, for accounting and compliance purposes, even after the rest of the account is gone.

Related actions that live elsewhere

The page's description also mentions disconnecting numbers and leaving a workspace — those aren't part of this panel specifically:

  • Disconnecting a WhatsApp number on its own (without deleting the account) is done from WhatsApp numbers and never touches your CRM data.
  • Leaving a workspace isn't a self-service action for a member today — an admin or owner removes you from Members and roles instead.
