Notifications

Notifications tell you when something in your workspace needs you. For example, a teammate assigned you a conversation, someone mentioned you in a note, your campaign finished, or the AI assistant handed a customer over to a human.

When to use it

Check your notifications whenever the bell shows a number. It's the quickest way to find a conversation that is waiting for you, without scanning the whole inbox.

Where notifications appear

Notifications live in one place: the Notifications item (the bell icon) in the left rail.

  • When you have unread notifications, the bell shows a count badge. Above 9 it shows 9+.
  • The count updates in real time, so you don't need to reload.
  • Clicking the bell opens the Notifications page. There is no pop-up list; everything is on the page.

Read your notifications

  1. Click the Notifications bell in the left rail.

The page lists your 100 most recent notifications, newest first. New ones appear at the top as they arrive.

  2. Click a notification.

It is marked as read. If it points somewhere, Relay takes you there:

    • A notification about a conversation opens that conversation in the Inbox.
    • A Campaign finished notification opens All campaigns (see Campaigns).

A notification with nowhere to go, such as a usage alert, is just marked as read.

  3. To clear everything at once, click Mark all as read.

The button is disabled when nothing is unread.

Each notification shows an icon for its type. Mark all as read (1) clears the unread count.

If you have never received a notification, the page says No notifications yet.

Each type goes to specific people. Nobody receives every type.

Troubleshooting

I expected a notification but didn't get one.

  • Assignments: you're only notified when someone else assigns you. Check who the conversation is assigned to in the Inbox thread header.
  • Mentions: the mention must be in an internal note, and it must name you.
  • Campaign finished: only the person who launched the campaign is notified.
  • AI handoff: when the conversation is left unassigned, only owners and admins are notified. Agents and viewers aren't.
  • Usage and wallet alerts: these go to owners and admins only. Check your role in Members and roles.

The badge count looks wrong. The count should update on its own. If it doesn't, reload the page to fetch it from the server again.

An old notification is missing. The page shows only your 100 most recent notifications.
