Relay vs Interakt vs AiSensy: 2026 comparison

Interakt vs AiSensy vs Relay: AiSensy has the lowest entry price (a free plan, then ₹1,500/mo + GST), Interakt has the widest Shopify toolkit, and Relay includes AI reply drafts and a flow builder in its ₹999/mo plan, GST included. As an Interakt alternative or AiSensy alternative, Relay suits teams wanting fewer add-ons. Prices checked 28 September 2026.

TL;DR

• Lowest entry price: AiSensy. Its Free Forever plan costs ₹0 but can't send broadcasts. Its Basic plan costs ₹1,500/mo + 18% GST.
• Shopify-heavy D2C stores: Interakt. Abandoned-checkout reminders, cash-on-delivery to prepaid flows and catalog sync are built into its plans.
• AI included in the plan: Relay. AI reply drafts come with every plan, and the Business plan adds an AI auto-reply bot. Interakt and AiSensy sell AI agents as add-ons.
• Message fees: Interakt and AiSensy list per-message rates above Meta's India rate card. The gap is largest on AiSensy's marketing messages and on Interakt's Starter utility messages. From 1 October 2026, Relay's wallet rates for messages to Indian numbers are ₹1.05 per marketing message and ₹0.17 per utility, authentication or service message, GST included.
• Coexistence: all three can keep your number live on the WhatsApp Business App.

All prices below were checked on 28 September 2026. Relay's plan prices include GST. Interakt's and AiSensy's are listed before tax, so each table says which basis it uses.

Interakt vs AiSensy vs Relay: which costs less?#

AiSensy costs the least to start, Interakt's cheapest WhatsApp plan is billed quarterly, and Relay's prices already include GST. To compare fairly, the table converts every price to a monthly figure including 18% GST, treating Interakt's "+ taxes" as 18% GST.

A few things change the real bill:

• Interakt doesn't sell its WhatsApp Starter plan monthly. Its ₹999/mo Starter covers Instagram only. The WhatsApp Starter plan is ₹3,499 a quarter + taxes (Interakt pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026). Interakt includes unlimited agents on every plan.
• AiSensy charges per extra agent. Each agent beyond your plan's allowance costs ₹750 a month (AiSensy pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026). The page shows that price without a GST label. AiSensy's pricing calculator says its amounts exclude GST.
• Relay has no per-seat surcharge, and it has a seat cap. A fourth teammate on Starter means moving to Growth (Relay pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).

How much do Interakt and AiSensy add to Meta's per-message fees?#

A per-message markup is the difference between what a platform charges you for a WhatsApp message and what Meta charges the platform. Meta has billed per delivered template message since 1 July 2025 (Meta pricing docs, checked 28 Sep 2026). For India, Meta's INR rate card effective 1 July 2026 lists ₹0.8631 per marketing message and ₹0.115 per utility or authentication message. Meta's rate card doesn't mention tax.

Interakt's Enterprise plan lists "No Markup Charges". Interakt's page doesn't say whether its message rates include tax, so they're shown as listed. AiSensy says its message charges exclude GST. Relay bills messages from a prepaid wallet. From 1 October 2026, Relay's wallet rates for messages to Indian numbers are ₹1.05 per marketing message and ₹0.17 per utility, authentication or service message, GST included.

Service messages change on 1 October 2026. Service messages are free-form replies inside the 24-hour customer service window, and they are free today. Meta's pricing page says that from 1 October 2026, "Meta will charge on a per-message basis for service messages", after a free tier of 1,000 per business phone number each month. Meta's INR rate card for that date prices an India service message at ₹0.115. Utility messages sent inside the window will also be charged (Meta pricing docs, checked 28 Sep 2026). On 28 September, Interakt and AiSensy still listed service messages as free. Relay's wallet rate for a service message from 1 October is ₹0.17, GST included. Which has the better shared team inbox?#

A shared team inbox is one conversation list for a WhatsApp number that several teammates answer from, with assignment and internal notes. All three have one. The differences are in routing and collaboration.

• Interakt includes the inbox on every plan. Growth adds Instagram DMs, role permissions and agent performance analytics. Advanced adds round-robin and load-balancing auto-assignment, plus inbound calls (Interakt pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• AiSensy includes a live chat dashboard even on Free. Basic adds multi-agent chat, agent transfer and manager monitoring. Pro adds smart agent routing, and Premium adds number masking (AiSensy pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Relay includes Open, Pending and Closed statuses, snooze, assignment, and internal notes with @mentions. It shows when a teammate is viewing or typing in the same chat, and warns you if someone else is also replying. The contact panel shows tags and pipeline deals next to the chat (Relay inbox docs). Relay has no automatic round-robin assignment. You route chats with an automation step instead.

A travel agency with four agents answering holiday enquiries on one number would find the basics on all three. It would need Interakt's Advanced plan or AiSensy's Pro plan for automatic routing.

Which is better for WhatsApp broadcast campaigns?#

All three send approved template messages to a filtered audience. AiSensy and Interakt offer more campaign controls. Relay offers clear per-campaign reporting.

• AiSensy doesn't allow broadcasting on its Free plan. Basic adds broadcasts, retargeting and 2 audience segments. Pro adds a campaign scheduler, click tracking and budget analytics (AiSensy pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Interakt includes one-time and ongoing campaigns, with auto-retries, on Starter. Growth adds click tracking and conversion tracking, and Advanced adds campaign fallbacks (Interakt pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Relay builds a campaign in four steps. You target all contacts, tags, a custom field or an uploaded CSV, exclude tags, and personalise each variable from contact fields. The insights page shows delivered, read, replied and clicked counts, plus the reason for each failed message (Relay campaigns docs). Relay can't schedule a campaign yet. Starter includes 5,000 campaign messages a month, Growth 50,000 and Business unlimited (Relay pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).

A coaching institute that sends one weekly batch reminder will manage on any of them. A D2C brand running retargeting sequences will get more from AiSensy Pro or Interakt Growth.

Which has the better chatbot and flow builder?#

A flow builder lets you design a WhatsApp conversation as connected steps (buttons, lists, questions and branches) without writing code. The main difference here is cost.

• AiSensy sells its drag-and-drop chatbot builder as an add-on on every plan: ₹2,500 a month for 5 chatbot flows, or ₹2,250 a month billed annually. Flows can start from keywords, templates, QR codes and Meta ads (AiSensy pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Interakt includes welcome, out-of-office and delayed auto-replies on every plan. Growth adds linear chatbots and FAQ automations. Branching flows with conditions and API calls need Advanced (Interakt pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Relay includes two tools on every plan at no extra cost. Flows is a visual canvas, currently in beta, where you build menus with buttons and lists, collect answers and branch on them. Automations are trigger-plus-steps rules, such as "on a keyword, tag the contact, assign the chat and send a reply".

A clinic that wants a "Book appointment / Timings / Talk to reception" menu can build it on any Relay plan. On AiSensy it needs the chatbot add-on, and on Interakt it needs Growth or higher.

Which includes AI replies without an add-on?#

Relay is the only one of the three that includes AI in its base plans.

• Relay: one-click AI reply drafts come with every plan. The AI auto-reply bot and the knowledge base come with Business. The bot hands a chat to a person when it can't help, and stops after a set number of replies in each conversation. Relay pays for the AI, so there's no AI provider account or API key to manage (AI assistant docs). Plans include 1,000, 3,000 or 8,000 AI credits a month, and one credit covers one draft or one auto-reply (Relay pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Interakt: WhatsApp AI Agents are an add-on for Growth and Advanced only. The plan table lists them at ₹3,000/mo + GST. The AI Agents tab lists ₹2,499/mo + taxes with 100 AI messages, then ₹0.50 per message. Growth and Advanced also include a website-trained "AnswerBot", limited to 4 and 6 runs (Interakt pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• AiSensy: the AI Agent Builder is an add-on at ₹1,350/mo for 1,000 AI messages. It includes knowledge-base Q&A, long-term memory and tool calling (AiSensy pricing, checked 28 Sep 2026).

Can you keep the WhatsApp Business App on your phone with each one?#

WhatsApp coexistence keeps a number live on the WhatsApp Business App while a platform sends and receives on the same number through the Cloud API. The owner keeps replying from the phone, and the team works from the shared inbox.

• Interakt publishes a self-serve coexistence setup: you choose to connect your existing WhatsApp Business App and scan a QR code (Interakt guide, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• AiSensy says its team enables coexistence on request through support (AiSensy help centre, checked 28 Sep 2026).
• Relay sets up coexistence on request during onboarding with our team. Relay never runs the step that would move the number off the phone. It paces sends on that number to 20 messages a second, because the handset shares the number's capacity (Connect WhatsApp docs).

If you need a named account manager, Interakt Enterprise and AiSensy Unlimited are the only options here that list one.

What limits should you check on seats, numbers and messages?#

Relay's figures read Starter / Growth / Business. Meta's own messaging limits apply on every platform. Relay's usage and limits page explains what happens at each cap. Hitting a cap blocks the next action of that kind, and nothing you've already sent or built is removed.

Which is the best Interakt alternative or AiSensy alternative for you?#

• Choose Interakt if you sell on Shopify and want abandoned-checkout reminders, catalog sync and native WhatsApp payments in the plan, and you're fine paying extra for AI agents.
• Choose AiSensy for the lowest possible entry price, if one owner and five agents are enough and you can budget ₹2,500/mo for chatbots once you need them.
• Choose Relay if your team wants AI reply drafts and a visual flow builder included, GST-inclusive plan prices, and, from 1 October 2026, the lowest marketing-message rate of the three. Relay has no Shopify integration, no Instagram and no campaign scheduling yet.
